Forms; namespace daniweb line , when it comes here it does not sense cell_validating event and skips to the end. Check to determine if the object is Null before calling method" error I think, when grid was populated these columns are null, nothing comes from database, so Cell Value Changed is wired at the time of datagridview populating. I have tested the Row Validated event once again and it is thrown as expected when Rad Grid View loses focus.
These events are not fired when the user cancels edit mode, which is good. They do almost what I want but they are also fired when the user cancels edit mode by pressing ESC.
Is there a way to check if edit mode was cancelled inside the these events?
I have a form with datagridview with columns qty , unit price and cost . When i enter unit cost in unit price column i wrote this calculation in cell end edit event for datagridview but when mouse left the focus only the event do calculations..
Hi Ruth Goldberg, Thank you for the additional details.
When I erase the content of second cell and re enter the date and leave the cell, it does work this time and I get the result to the third column snakay data Grid View1.
When I leave the second cell to invoke cellvalidating and get the result to the third column, it doesn't.
Thanks a lot You have been great help snakay ahaa, still have a curious problem.
It was my mistake from the very beginning, that I mixed up the column names, with wrong column names it would not pass the logical test, therefore nothing to do with event handling.
I would suggest that you start writing your tests first, for now at least.
