I've used a number of different dating sites, both free and paid before with mixed results - would often have dates that didn't go anywhere or meet guys who were just looking for a quick hook-up.
I signed up with e Harmony, thinking that with their "screening process" and the fact that you have to pay for sites, it would lead to matches who were more serious.
Every match was shorter than me and over 50kms away!! I requested cancellation and they offered a 21 day obligation free extension. I then requested cancellation again and after many emails back and forth they have said its outside 3 days and I'll not get a refund. Give it a miss Hi I would like to write this on behalf on my Recent match from Eharmony I was Matched with a young girl from Ocean Reef and it was our first date last night and everything was amazing we thank eharmony because it was Love at First Site, we have agreed on Begining a Relationship and seeing where this leads but more than anything we both would like to start a family, We both again say Thankyou.
I contacted their customer service and complained that it seemed like they were trying to "fix" me; the matches got somewhat better but many still were way outside my chosen parameters. #1, it's expensive and #2, my dog wouldn't even take a walk to poop with the men I've been "matched" with! Most men are way over or way under the age preference I selected (I'm 63) and they're out of my distance range that I selected. Realizing they match you with people so far from what you had requested I contacted the manager to refund me my money and close my account.
Third, after nearly 2 years I have gone out with exactly 1 guy. Hard to be excited about someone that lives hundreds of miles away! Advertise "free communication" in their ads yet you have to pay if you want to communicate with anyone! I was then asked to send an email in which case I did, just to be told they cannot refund me my money.
Nor can you write and send messages til you pay for a ridiculous subscription!
GIVE IT A BIG FAT MISS EVERYONEI got on eharmony and requested cancellation in 2 days.
Then, with no notification they go ahead and keep renewing your subscription by charging your credit card.
I didn't even realized I was still being charged as I thought I had cancelled the subscription. You’ll find singles on e Harmony come from a wide range of vocations, including but certainly not limited to: teachers, armed forces, accountants, lawyers, doctors and nurses and many business owners.Ages vary from 21 up to 70 and there is an even split between the sexes.I've more often been contacted by members only to get a message from e Harmony that their accounts were suspended for suspicious activity. Plus, every few days I get an email stating one of my "matches" has been removed because EHarmony found out something they can't reveal about them. Spoke to a class action lawyer and he said that there was nothing anyone could do because of the mediation clause in the contract. This company cares less about matching you with people of common interest, they are money scammers and should be called EScam instead.I figured it out all by myself..........they're scammers EHarmony!! The only bad thing is that these were the nicest looking men that have been sent to me!! Does not seem suitable for over 70s, you can count on half a hand the number of compatibles in my 30 mile radius and age range, but of course you don't know this beforehand.e Harmony bills you up front for your entire membership length, but does allow you to pay in 3 installments for some plans. It is free to view your matches, but you must signup for a plan in order to contact another member.
