We had a power failure in the data center this past week, and it looks like on reboot, the service failed to start.
Our new data center isn’t running at production levels yet, so a power failure due to human error is not surprising.
The default collection is named Default Collection, but you can change that in the collection that is in use on your TFS environment. The warehouse update is ready when all jobs have the “Idle” job status.
Whenever I talk about TFS, one of the things I always mention is the fact that because all the data about the software project is now being tracked in a SQL Server database, Microsoft were able to stick a Data Warehouse over the top of all that raw data to give you a really good view on reporting.
To change the interval follow the following steps 1. Open Internet Explorer and type Foundation/Administration/v3.0/Warehouse Control in the adress bar. You will see a new page where you can enter the setting and its new value.
Enter in the Setting Id: Run Interval Seconds and in the new Value the number of seconds (3600 is one hour) 5. Open the list of web services again with Foundation/Administration/v3.0/Warehouse Control 2. This can take some time when you have a large database.
The first thing that we need to do is set up a connection to the TFS Data Warehouse from Excel.
Go to Data, From Other Sources, From Analysis Services. This is usually the server running SQL for your TFS instance (i.e. I am connecting to a TFS Server instance that has the database and the TFS application tier installed on the same machine.
It seems that there is a problem with TFS 2015 Cubes.
