If you turn the power button off then back on again within 5 minutes "Code" blinks on the display. enter password using the numbered buttons - press button 1 once to let it know it's the first digit, then press button 1 again however many times to bring up the code for the first digit.
When our CD died Wifey took it to the Dealer whose Chief Mechanic brought out his little "pointer" to manually reset the stereo (on our Rio's stereo there's a tiny little hole through which you insert a tiny screwdriver & depress the reset button) only to find that our Carnis stereo didn't HAVE the reset hole! This was news to them.

Do you think it’s ok to steal services from providers just because you can or that it’s too expensive? But I do agree with you that it’s not fair that these services are not affordable for everyone.
I’m sure it would be a nightmare for most users of the box to find out ways to get round these changes, but for the technical savvy, it’s a simple task.
Anyway, a friend of mine purchased one of the new Starview box’s, now called The Box or Starview 2.
To enter default 1111 code, press button 1 twice,, 2 twice, 3 twice then 4 twice. when all four digits entered (default is 1111) press SEL button and display should say "GOOD" 4.
