Msg = &H10 Then Need Validting = False End If My Base. I have done this by using the "leave" event of the objects conserned, it all works very well.
I have form with two or three controls that require validation on exit. Not only does it make maitenance of the validation easier, it solves your problem and makes your application easier to use.

Visual Basic 6 has finally come up with a solution for most of the validation issues that have afflicted Visual Basic developers for years.
This is what the form looks like when the grid is populated, gyazo.com/3c8f00ac68f5ecb751a3d3e42bf6db54.

If the e-mail address is not in the standard format (containing "@" and "."), the validation fails, an Error Provider icon is displayed, and the event is canceled.
This example requires that a Text Box and Error Provider control have been created on a form.
Run the sample program on the companion CD, type something in the required Text Box, and then move to the second field.
Because the second field's Causes Validation property is True, Visual Basic fires a Validate event in the first Text Box control: Private Sub txt Required_Validate(Cancel As Boolean) ' Check that field is not empty. Text = "" Then Msg Box "Please enter something here", vb Exclamation Cancel = True End If End Sub If the Cancel parameter is set to True, Visual Basic cancels the user's action and takes the input focus back on the txt Required control: No other Got Focus and Lost Focus events are generated.
(See the figure below.) You don't want to perform validation if the user presses the Cancel or Help buttons, so you set their Causes Validation properties to False.
The default value for this property is True, so you don't have to modify it for the other controls.
Except if the user clicks on the exit button whilst in one of thesefobjects/fields . Ijust want the form to exit without executing the validation. Write one validation routine and call it from the OK button.
